Connect to others, connect to god

We know that life isn't meant to be lived alone. Having friends, mentors, and supporters is a key component of the life God has in store for you. So at Wahoo First UMC, we have plenty of opportunities to connect you to others. In doing that, we believe you'll connect better to God, too. Below you'll see our church's Discipleship Pathway, the three-step process we believe sets us firmly on the path to becoming world-changing disciples of Jesus Christ.

GPS: Our discipleship pathway

At Wahoo First UMC, we've discerned a three-step Discipleship Pathway for everyone in our church family. The three steps are summarized in the letters GPS: Grow, Praise, and Study. By using this GPS, we can find our way more easily and faithfully as we live out our faith in our lives.

  • GROW: Homegroups

HomeGroups, based off of the Methodist movement's historical "class meetings," are small groups of 6-10 people. They meet for one hour, once a week, and they ask the transformational question: "How is your life with God."

  • PRAISE: SUNDAY WORSHIP

Worship is foundational to who we are. We were made to worship, and we find rest for our souls and purpose for our lives in worshiping the God who loves us.

  • STUDY: WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE

Wednesday Night Live is our one-stop shop for food, fellowship, and faith. After a meal at 6:00pm, we split into different age-based groups from 6:30-7:30pm. With programming for children, youth, and adults, everybody's faith will deepen!
