Youth @ Wahoo First UMC
Our Youth Ministry is all about equipping and inspiring students 6-12th grade to become disciples who love Jesus and others. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm, usually part of Wednesday Night Live.
Here's a typical run-down of Youth on Wednesday evenings:
- 6:00-6:30pm - Community Dinner upstairs in the Church
- 6:30-7:00pm - Activities & Service Projects
- 7:00-7:30pm - Lesson & Discussion

Faith in Action
Our students want to be involved in acts of service and generosity that actually make a difference in people's lives.
Roughly once per month, our Youth do a service project in the church or around Wahoo. These projects show that faith is supposed to be lived out, not just talked about, and it shows the community what the church is all about.
Some recent projects include:
- Adopting senior residents at Saunders House and sending care packages
- Volunteer work at nearby Camp Fontanelle for their Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch
- Leading and serving in the church on Sunday mornings
If you want to make a real difference, too, then join us on Wednesdays!
on sundays, too!
In addition to Wednesdays, the church also comes together on Sunday mornings for worship!
In our 10:30am worship service, our Youth find ways to serve, grow, and be together. With a mix of new and ancient elements, our worship pulls us into something bigger than ourselves.
Safe Gatherings Approved
At Wahoo First UMC, all of our volunteers who regularly interact with children, youth, or vulnerable adults are certified through Safe Gatherings, which includes abuse prevention training and a comprehensive background check.
We care about the well-being and emotional, physical, and spiritual health of everyone in our church, especially children. So with Safe Gatherings, we have a system in place to ensure that well-being.
