What to Expect

We're a small town church with a big heart. But we know that churches, especially on Sunday morning and for the first time, can be intimidating. You can expect a laid-back atmosphere as soon as you walk in our doors. You'll probably get a few handshakes and hellos before you sit down, but you won't be put on the spot or singled out.

Below you'll see sections on What to Wear, What to Bring, Children in Worship, and Where We Are.

Then, check out our worship services here. We can't wait to worship with you!

What to wear

We are come-as-you-are church. So if that means showing up in a suit or dress, great! Or if it means worshiping in a T-shirt and shorts, that's great, too! Chances are, you'll probably see both of these on display on any given Sunday.

We know that many people want to wear their "Sunday best," and we believe that starts first and foremost with our hearts. Some come as you are, with a heart ready to experience God.

Don't believe us? Just check out these two guys. Don (left) is a farmer and feels most comfortable in a pair of jeans or overalls most weeks. Sam (right) is a high-schooler who likes to dress up in ties, vests, and suits each week. We mean it when we say that you can worship however feels most comfortable for you!

What to Bring

This section is a bit of a misnomer; you don't have to bring anything!

But here is a list of some of the things you can bring, if you wish:

  • Coffee/Drinks (Yes, in the Sanctuary!)
  • A Bible (we also have Bibles in all of the pews)
  • Your hopes, dreams, and passions
  • Your fears, shortcomings, and past

We believe that God wants you, all of you, just as you are. So when you join us for worship, bring all of you, even if that means a coffee cup in each hand!

Children in Worship

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me" (Matthew 19:14), and we think he meant it. Children are absolutely welcome in both of our services to worship as full participants.

During the school year, we do have our children's Sunday school that operates concurrently with our Sunday worship service. Here's how it works:

  • Families worship together as the service begins (10:30am).
  • Children (all ages) come forward for the Children's Sermon (10:45am or so).
  • Afterward, children go downstairs for Sunday school with a dynamic, age-appropriate lesson.
  • Children rejoin families in the Sanctuary for the end of worship (11:30am or so).

We also offer a nursery year-round for children under three.
