COVID-19 RESPONSE

Due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wahoo First UMC has changed its worship, ministries, and operations. This page will be updated as new information becomes available and the church makes new decisions.

We have resumed in-person worship! Read on below for information about our return to in-person worship,

as well as ways to connect with us virtually.

WORSHIP

We are currently conducting in-person worship! We have two identical services at 9:00am and 10:30am, and will both include elements of our praise and traditional worship styles. Our 9:00am service is also streamed live from our church's Facebook page.

While worshiping with us in-person, masks are required, as well as physical distancing of at least six feet between family units. In addition, only every other row of pews will be available for seating.

GIVING

In this time, we are able to continue our ministries of worship, discipleship, and mission through the support of generous members of our faith family. For most, this has meant mailing checks to the church office. We are excited to announce a new way to support our church financially!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Nebraska United Methodist Foundation, we have been able to set up an online giving platform through Vanco Payment Solutions! With this, we are able to give electronically either one-time or on a recurring basis, from either a checking account or credit card.

If you feel led to support the church with a financial gift, consider using this new platform. Click here, and you will be taken to our website, which will take you to the giving platform. This is a simpler, but no less intentional, way to support the church and practice generosity.

building operations

Our Church Office is currently conducting normal operations. Our business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-1:30pm. You can come by our call us at (402) 443-4219 to get in touch with us.

Additionally, committees, small groups, and other gatherings are encouraged to begin taking steps to meet in-person. If you have questions about restarting a small group or ministry, please call the Church Office at (402) 443-4219.
