1,500 years ago, Italian monks created what became the first Christmas Carol. Seven verses, each describing a title of the newborn Christ. Today, this song takes its title from the final verse: “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.” Laying in the rich, beautiful verses are words and phrases that draw us into the story of Christmas.
